Being in the outfield listening to fans call out your name as the ball is hit to you, sliding on you knees and catching the ball, smelling the grass and bleeding and panting, now that's what softballl is all about, honor and pride.

If you look at a softball split in half, it looks like the earth; cork is the inner core, leather is the outer core, yarn is the mantel, and the cover is the crust. This proves you can't live without softball because you can't live without the earth.

Softball players are most beautiful when they walk off the field with eye-black smeared in their face, covered in dirt from head to toe, their hair plastered to their head, sweat dripping from their bodies, and victory in their eyes.

4 bases, 3 strikes, 2 teams and 1 winner. It's not just a game but a way of life. Softball this is my destiny.

Softball is for everyone. Fast-pitch is for athletes.
